History
Cafe Bella Ciao was founded in 2006 by Irish-Italian couple Aoife and Marco. After meeting in London, they moved to Limerick to work in food catering, and CBC was formed to cater mainly for corporate events and weddings. With the onset of the pandemic, Cafe Bella Ciao has adjusted their commercial kitchen to cater for home deliveries.
Why should I sign up for an account?
Having an account means that you only ever have to fill out your delivery details once. We also offer a number of member-only events to our customers throughout the year, please visit the events page for more information. We are also currently building an online loyalty card scheme that will allow you to gain points for all drinks orders, and redeem these against future orders.
Why should I trust your website with my credit card details?
All payments are handled by Stripe, an online payments processor formed by two brothers in Tipperary and one of the world's highest-valued companies. Because of their payments system, we have no need to store any of your credit or debit card details, indeed we never have access to them at any point in the transaction.
Why aren't you on Just Eat?
Unlike many other food businesses, we don't use delivery apps such as Just Eat or Deliveroo as they charge large fees for their service, meaning that we have to significantly increase prices to cover their costs. We can pass this saving back to our customers as well as paying our delivery riders a fair wage on a permanent contract. Having our own website also means that we can offer our customers additional services such as events and our soon-to-be-launched loyalty offers.
What training do your baristas have?
All of our baristas are trained either in Ireland (with the Dublin Barista School) or in Italy (with the Italian Barista School in Milan). All staff are also trained in HACCP, customer care and Covid-19 infection control procedures, we even have a few that are also trained mixologists, but of course their true passion is coffee!
I'm unhappy with a product or the service I received, what should I do?
If for any reason you are unhappy with our products or the service you reason, please contact us via e-mail, calling us on 061 999 112, or using any of our social media accounts, all we need is your name and order date or number. We are happy to provide a full refund to any unhappy customer.
